How to use the bp pulse charge points

Access to the bp pulse network is made via either an RFID card or a smartphone app. Contactless bank card access is available on a large number of rapid charge points.

bp pulse has easy to follow user guides for each of its charger types on its website.

Where are bp pulse charge points located?

All bp pulse points can be found on Zap-Map by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points available to use by bp pulse customers.

bp pulse also provides Zap-Map with a live network feed of points, helping to show the most up-to-date charge point information possible. This means Zap-Map can show if a charge point is in use or available, alongside the traditional reports indicating whether the unit is operational or out of order.

Select 'Filters' -> 'Networks' -> 'bp pulse' to view only bp pulse charge points.

About bp pulse

bp pulse is a nationwide network available via the bp pulse app and contactless card payment. The network became bp pulse in December 2020, having previously been known as Polar.

Founded in 2008 and acquired by bp in 2018, bp pulse manufactures home charge units and public fast chargers. The company also produces rapid charge points – charging at 50 kW DC and 43 kW AC – and ultra-rapid 150 kW DC chargers.

bp pulse partners

bp pulse has official charging partner arrangements with BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, LEVC, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault, Toyota, and Smart. The company is either able to easily arrange for home charge units to be installed for new customers of the above manufacturers, or in certain cases will provide free home charge points to buyers as part of the deal.
